Aaron Rai!!! We are so happy to see Aaron Rai secure his first win on the PGA Tour this past weekend. It seems he has been knocking on the tour for quite some time, and you just felt as if he was going to win sooner rather than later. A tough go for Max Greyserman playing a stellar front 9, and had a 4-shot lead at one point. That disappeared after he made a quad on 14, followed by a double bogey 4-putt on 16. Golf is hard. Aaron Rai is a standup guy, and we respect him so much; you could not have asked for a better winner this week. Congratulations Aaron!
The FedEx cup playoffs are finally upon! We first kick it off at TPC Southwind located in Shelby County, Tennessee. Lucas Glover went on a tear at the end of last year winning this tournament in a playoff over Patrick Cantlay and the Wyndham Championship the week before. In 2022, Will Zalatoris finally broke through here in a dramatic 3-hole playoff over Sepp Straka. The past two years, Glover and Zalatoris both posted a winning score of -15. There are 70 players in the field this week, in which 50 of those players will be playing at the BMW Championship the following week. Who’s going to be hoisting the trophy come Sunday?
I heard we all get a day off from work after Tommy Fleetwood wins on the PGA tour. Well, we have a good chance to have this upcoming Monday off, as we think Fleetwood (+2500) will make a strong push for the title. Fleetwood is as consistent as they come but can’t seem to get over the hump. Winning the silver medal at the Olympics definitely added a spark for him. Look for Tommy to be in the mix come Sunday.
